Dr. Nicole Johnson is a consultant, researcher, and speaker. She has worked with many organizations in the higher education sector over the years through her consulting practice and through her work as the Executive Director of the Canadian Digital Learning Research Association including: Bay View Analytics, BCCAT, Risepoint, WCET, Transport Canada, eCampusOntario, the Québec Ministry of Education, BCcampus, Campus Manitoba, Contact North | Contact Nord, D2L, Academica Group, and the Maritime Provinces Higher Education Commission. She also works directly with post-secondary institutions across Canada. Dr. Johnson works remotely from her home in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia, which is on the traditional, ancestral, unceded shared territory of the Sema:th First Nation and the Máthxwi First Nation. These two First Nations are part of the Stó:lō Nation and the Stó:lō people have lived in the Fraser Valley for 10 000 years. She acknowledges that she is an uninvited guest on these lands and is committed to treading gently on the land while she learns more about the history of her community and the ongoing impacts of colonialism.
